The square wave output has a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of approximately 3 V peak-to-peak (Vp-p). The output jacks used are "V Ω mA" and "COM".

When testing the current gain (hFE) of a transistor, turn the switch to the hFE position and insert the transistor into the 8-hole socket according to its type and pin configuration.

When measuring DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current (up to 200 mA), resistance, diodes, continuity (buzzer), or batteries, connect the red test lead to the "V Ω mA" jack and the black test lead to the "COM" jack.

When measuring current above 200 mA, connect the red test lead to the "10A" (or "10A DC") jack, and the black test lead to the "COM" jack.
